For a few years now I have been studying and learning about rain making rites of Southern Africa. Many of my works are about calling for rain.

Watershed is inspired by a rainmaking sacred site in South Eastern Botswana. In Botswana there are a few places where rainmakers have traditionally gone to do rituals and pray for rain. These are places of great power where it is believed the raindragon resides and the lightening bird can be seen. This work is a prayer for rain but also for abundance since the word for rain in Tswana is Pula, which is also the word for money.
